Starting in 1901, the Chicago Auto Show is known as the largest automotive exhibit that flaunts the latest advancements in the industry. Each decade holds dozens of cornerstones that we have come know and love in market, even to this day! The Chevrolet brand strutted onto the Auto Show scene shortly after it was founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant. One of the high points that captivated onlookers was the innovative small-block V8 engine that revolutionized the way that we think of power. After that, people flocked to the Chevrolet showcase to get up close and personal with the Chevrolet Corvette. Fast forward to 2019, and you can’t help but see the Camaro, Cruze, Equinox, and the historical Corvette, revamped and cruising down the interstate during your morning commutes!
This past year, we have seen a few new rides and concept vehicles that are nothing short of thrilling, that will take your driving experience to the next level. Two options that impressed the audience were the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer and the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD. What makes the former so exciting, is that the S-10 Blazer halted its production in 2005, while the Trailblazer overlapped that timeframe and stopped production around 2002. Time certainly did this model some good, as the newest Blazer comes with a redefined outer shell and an available 3.5L V6 engine rumbling beneath the sheet metal. The 2020 Silverado HD is definitely something to be excited about for drivers that want to get their hands on pure muscle. This ride has two engine options available, the strongest being the 6.6L Duramax Diesel V8 engine that churns out 445 horsepower and 910 lb.-ft. of torque along with a 35,500-lb. maximum towing capacity1.
