Power and Performance

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 comes with a turbocharged 2.7-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. There are also three other engines you could choose:

• Turbodiesel 3.0-liter, six-cylinder: 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque
• 3-liter V8: 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque
• 2-liter V8: 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque

Regardless of the engine you go with, you’re going to get an eight-speed automatic transmission unless you opt for the 10-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with four-wheel drive available.

In addition to great power, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 has nice handling. If you want to take your new Chevy pickup off-road, you can get skid plates, a locking rear differential, and all-terrain tires.

Towing and Hauling

The 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 has excellent towing ability, as it can tow up to 13,300 lbs. when properly equipped. It also has a maximum payload of 2,260 lbs. Three-bed lengths are available: 5-foot-10-inches, 6-foot-7-inches, or 8-foot-2-inches. A multi-function tailgate can be added to any model.

Interior Features

With the Regular Cab, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 fits three people, but either the Double or Crew Cab can fit up to six. Vinyl upholstery comes standard. Upgrades include cloth or leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, and heated front and rear seats.
