Power and Performance
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 comes with a 6.6-liter V8 that put out 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. The other engine option is a Duramax® diesel 6.6-liter V8 that will give you 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque.
With either engine, you will get an Allision® 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. While this new Chevy truck won’t be described as sporty, it does have nice agility and handling for such a large vehicle.
Towing and Hauling
The towing and hauling ability of the 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 is outstanding. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 16,000 lbs. and a maximum payload of 3,975 lbs. There are also several advanced towing features you can add, including adaptive cruise control that works when pulling a trailer and a trailering camera.
Additionally, you’ll have your choice of two bed lengths: 5-foot-10 inches or 6-foot-7 inches. A multi-flex tailgate with six different functions is available.
Interior Features
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 has a spacious interior that fits between three and six people, depending on which cab you go with. Cloth upholstery is standard, and upgrades include power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats.
Standard tech features include an infotainment system with a 13.4-inch touchscreen, Android Auto™, and Apple CarPlay®. You can get satellite radio, wireless device charging, and a Wi-Fi® hot spot.
Safety Systems
A rearview camera is standard in the 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500, but several other safety features can be added, such as:
