June 23rd, 2019 by

Here at Zeigler Chevrolet in Schaumburg, IL we know that some drivers want a car that really stands out and few new Chevy vehicles do that like the Chevy Corvette. The 2020 Chevy C8 Corvette is coming soon, and if you’re into classic American sports cars you’ll want to pay close attention to this stylish model.

Between spotted test cars, filed patents, and the occasional news release, we have a good idea about what the eighth-generation 2020 Chevy C8 Corvette will have to offer when it arrives later this year. The entry-level model will make its debut next month, likely under the name “Stingray.” Expect it to come equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that puts out around 500 horsepower. And that’s just the entry-level version!

The really big news about this model is that it’s the first mid-engine Chevy Corvette. As you can probably tell, in a mid-engine model, the engine is located within the vehicle. Some performance car enthusiasts prefer this configuration. A recent patent filing also shows that this model could end up getting a trick active aerodynamics system. Although this patent shows the seventh-generation Chevy Corvette, but considering that the seventh-generation vehicle is going out of production soon, we have to imagine that the 2020 Chevy C8 Corvette is the intended recipient of this new Chevrolet technology. This is interesting news, and just one of the many reasons that we can’t wait for the official debut of the 2020 Chevy C8 Corvette next month!
